Each antenna is resonant straight out of the box and comes with its own VSWR plot - made from unbreakable Kevlar wire.
No BALUN or UnUn used in this product as these are designed as a resonant antenna. This often means that no ATU is required - look at the VSWR sweeps below

potted box giving a little NVIS to the system, 10m coax, self-amalgamating tape

______________________________________________________________________ G Whip 'Widebander' 3.6Mhz - 50Mhz (Requires the use of an ATU) £63 + £8 P&P Click on image to enlarge So simple to use, just un-wind and throw out the counterpoise and connect it to the stainless steel bolt, then un-wind the radiator and throw the throwing line into a tree or string it up to the house gutter then connect it to the other bolt, either one as the transformer is an un/un, connect up your coax and off you go....dead simple! The G Whip wideband antenna comprises of a super efficient 9/1 un/un and 2 lengths of kevlar wire, the 22 mtr radiator and a 20 mtr counterpoise are supplied. Resonance/matching is achieved with a good trans-match from 3.6MHz to 50MHz with a maximum VSWR of under 2 to 1. (Not tuned as you cannot tune an antenna with an ATU, you can only match it!). Sloping radiator length is approx 22 mtrs which can be dog legged. These units are made to a high specification as all G Whip products are. This is the new 40 Mtr version now available, approx 18 mtrs of lightweight Racal kevlar wire, lightweight box, strain reliefs for support, line and coax. Maximum power handling is 50 watts pep, comes complete with support insulator (Racal spool £5 extra). The G Whip EFD antenna is an end fed but with
a difference! It incorporates approx 1/2 wave length wire radiator and also a G
Whip tuned circuit and not the usual matching feeder line counterpoise used on
many of the old designs, a perfect tuned match. Nice and easy to turn to
get the best signal or to cut the QRM. Each antenna comes complete with it's own
sweep and no adjustment is needed. Can be mounted vertically, horizontally or
sloping, during tests we found sloping performed the best.
